Cindy Sardo's Medical Fund to Fight Ovarian Cancer

Hi my name is Jennifer and I am Cindy's daughter, I set up this GoFundme me to help pay for my mom's ongoing medical expenses while she fights advanced Ovarian cancer. Her cancer has metastasized and she has lesions on her stomach. Ovarian cancer can go undetected until it has spread to the pelvis and stomach which makes it harder to treat. My mom's cancer was found after she had been sick for a few months, and by the time they found it, it had spread into her stomach.

Before my mom got sick she was caring for my dad who has Parkinson disease, he is unable to drive and she was his main caregiver. My mom can no longer prepare meals, and get my dad to his doctors appointments. I also have a brother that has down syndrome that she was helping care for. My brother had been on the transplant list for a new liver and has had numerous appointments at UVA and VCU hospitals that are a few hours away from there home.

My mom is on a limited income and medical bills, co pays, hospital stays, are starting to add up. Cindy will need to have surgery and due to her Medicare provider we will have to have surgery in Richmond which poses another financial strain and it is a few hours from her home.

My mom has always been there to take care of others when they have needed it. All while going through the diagnosis process she was trying her best to continue to take care of my dad and brother.

The funds will be used to help pay for treatments, co-pays, prescriptions, hospital stays, and other financial strains cancer brings. It is a long rode ahead and anything to help Cindy beat cancer we would appreciate, if it is a donation or a share of this GoFundme, anything is helpful.
