Support Cindy Fisher's Tough Journey

Hello dear friends,

As some of you may know, our family has gone through some significant hardship. After losing my husband Bob, a couple short years later, I got bacterial meningitis in 2012 causing me to undergo 13 surgeries and become paralyzed as I age. Unfortunately, it's gotten to the point where I can no longer take care of myself and I had to move into a nursing home.

This has been tough to say the least. I've been very fortunate to have loving family and friends help me out tremendously along this journey already.

My son, is actively working on getting me approved for Medicaid with a Medicaid attorney which will help cover expenses. This is a long, exhaustive process that we are hopefully going to get approved for. In the meantime, there are mounting medical, nursing home, and attorney bills.

I would greatly appreciate any support financially and emotionally.

I'm facing a $4,000 bill for January’s nursing home stay, plus an ongoing $700 monthly charge while I'm on Medicaid. I've already spent $7,000 on legal fees, with more expenses ahead and 100's of hours put in. My entire social security benefit is given to the nursing home leaving me with no income.

I'm doing everything I can to be financially responsible, but this situation is overwhelming. Reaching $16,000 would help me get through the Medicaid pending period safely and ensure I get the care I need without risking even more instability.
