Cindy Mikus Fighting for Her Life

Hi, my name is Marilyn and I am raising funds to help Cindy who is in ICU fighting for her life since January 27th. Before being intubated because of difficulty breathing due to pneumonia and influenza Cindy expressed how worried she was about not being able to go to work.

They tried to take her off the breathing tube twice before inserting a trachea. She has since developed an infection that has caused swelling of the brain and cognitive issues. The doctors expect Cindy to be in the hospital for 3 - 4 months and then there will be many months of rehabilitation.

This single Mom of three has suffered more of her fair share of setbacks. Through no fault of her own she has been subjected to many layoffs since the closure of Sears yet she still perseveres to go on to her next means of employment, never letting her determination and pleasant character falter.

Her children are doing the best they can to keep up her expenses and the last thing I want is for her to be worrying about money when she is fighting to recover.
