Cindy List and the List Family

Hello friends and family,

My wife, best friend and partner for life has experienced a major medical trauma. She and the specialists at UC Davis are dealing with a brain aneurysm.

She is still alive and fighting with everything she has. For those of you who know her, you know that her personality is a force of nature. There is not a stronger person on this planet that I have ever met. She might be the only one equipped to face the challenges ahead.

To say this is unfair is a complete understatement. This is the only person you will ever meet that will stop your car to let the ant pass across the driveway. Save a bee, save a spider and take it outside. Black widow or not.

She has grown so much as a person in the 28 years since we have been together. I hope I have right alongside her. Mostly gone is the quick reaction to act aggressively, she is slower to be angry or high strung.

Still opinionated, yes ...always that. But more compassionate, especially for the elderly, that she has been fitted with hearing aids over the last five years.

Age has something to do with it, yes. But it's also from raising a family. Ian and Tara have always been her greatest life accomplishment. Now and forever, regardless of the outcome.

So I say this: positive thoughts are welcome. Prayer if that is your thing. I can only hope that one day soon she gets to read this and all the positive comments I know will come.
