On January 7, this former teacher and loving mother of five was babysitting her grandson when her daughter's dog escaped from the house. When she tried to catch the dog, she suffered a freak accident and fell, striking her head against a parked vehicle. The impact caused her to suffer a fracture of both her C1 and C2 vertebrae and was nearly paralyzed. She was treated this morning and placed in a cervical halo. Her husband, a hardworking oilfield welding inspector, has been unable to find steady work as a result of the oilfield shutdown. They are now facing mounting medical bills, including ICU stay, as well as extensive rehabilitation and follow up care. Please help in any way you can!
