Hello, my name is Cindy, and I am reaching out during one of the most challenging times of my life. I am 53 years old and, until recently, was an active and hardworking person who enjoyed living life to the fullest. However, I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, spinal stenosis, and osteoarthritis—conditions that have made daily life increasingly difficult and painful.
Learning to live with an autoimmune disease has been a journey of adjustment and resilience. My parents passed away many years ago, and my family support system is very small and unable to help out financially. While I have always prided myself on my independence and strength, these health challenges have made it difficult to manage on my own.
Recently, due to unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, I am now faced with the urgent need to find a new place to live. This transition comes at a time when my health issues require ongoing medical attention, and I am caught in a waiting game between specialists, appointments, and the paperwork needed for support. I was denied long term disability and am in the process of appealing it with a lawyer but with no income at the moment, I am unable to cover the costs of moving, medical care, and basic living expenses.
I am seeking to raise $10,000 to bridge this gap—every contribution will go directly toward securing safe housing and covering essential medical and living costs while I work through these challenges. Your support, whether through a donation or by sharing my story, means the world to me. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and understanding during this difficult time.
