Cindy is very sick - let’s help her recover without worry

Story

Cindy Ford is the kind of person who touches everyone she meets with warmth and kindness. At 63, she’s still working hard as an Architectural Technician, showing up every day with the same dedication and modest grace that have defined her entire life. She’s a proud and loving grandmother, a devoted mother, and a loyal friend — someone who has always put others first, even when times were tough. Last Sunday, Cindy was rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pain. She was quickly admitted to critical care at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, where doctors discovered a life-threatening perforation in her duodenum. The location of the perforation is extremely precarious, and she has faced several very difficult days in intensive care. Though her condition is slowly stabilizing, she remains in hospital and will likely be there for many more days. Her road to recovery will be long — stretching into weeks, possibly months. Throughout her life, Cindy has faced financial challenges with resilience and humility. Now, for the first time, she is in a position where she needs help. With her hospitalization and ongoing care, she’s unable to work and is deeply worried about how she’ll make ends meet in the weeks ahead. Her focus should be on healing, not on financial stress. This fundraiser is to help relieve the burden of lost income, cover any unexpected medical or living expenses, and allow Cindy to recover in peace. Every contribution — no matter the size — will help support a woman who has given so much of herself to her family, friends, and community. Please consider donating, sharing, and sending love and prayers for Cindy’s recovery. Your kindness will make a world of difference during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for being part of her support system. ❤️
