If you know Cindi you know she is an adventurer, a free spirit, an adrenaline junkie who loves to travel. You may have met her in many of her trips around the world or in her small town in Idaho.
Now she is going to battle a new adventure - to beat Endometrial Cancer. Those of us who live close and far away would like to help with her medical costs as well as costs for travel to a bigger city for treatment and missed days from work.
You may know that Cindi works as a scientist for the University of Idaho. She has worked there for over 8 years and even got her master's degree there. For this entire time she has gotten paid using grant funds for the projects to works on. She is not technically part of the staff. Because of this, she has never had health insurance through her job. Fortunately, last year she was able to get some basic health insurance through the Affordable Care Act. Unfortunately, the deductables are very high - which is fine if you are healthly and don't need to go to the doctor, but that is not the case now. She also found out that she has no ability to get paid sick time from her job. So any time she isn't working, there is no money coming in, so every little bit will help.
She will have some stories and "Random Thoughts" to tell about in this new adventure and we can't wait to hear about them!
