Cinder's Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Cinder, an inspiring three-legged dog, is the ulitmate example of resiliency. Surviving a car accident at only 6 months of age, she had to lose her front left leg. She was happily rehomed to me, Jen, her very loving and dedicated mama shortly after that. At age 10, Cinder had a very aggressive form of dermal lymphoma tumor removed with many follow up western and holistic treatments afterward. She has remained cancer free for the last 2 1/2 years.... until now. Bam! Cancer has struck with a vengeance.
Two weeks ago, we found an aggressive oral melanoma tumor that required removal of a portion of her jaw. I'm happy to report that she is recovering great and eating like a pig. A pricey melanoma vaccine is the next prescribed course of action. Unfortunately, we also just found out that she has lymphoma on top of that. Vet bills have already reached $7000, Her prognosis and quality of life could actually be quite good if follow up treatments and holistic care continue, but will be approximately $4000. Insurance will cover a few hundred, but otherwise I am on my own using very little savings and charging credit cards. Cinder is a very young twelve year old girl who's main passion in life is to eat and be with her favorite people. She is an incredible companion and therapy dog to my Massage Therapy clients, continually touching many hearts with her easy going attitude in the face of some scary stuff.
We need your help! Anything you can give will make a world of difference for us. I know these are hard times for quite a lot of people, so if all you have to give are happy, healing thoughts and prayers, we will take them and be forever grateful.
Once our goal of $10,000 is reached, any remaining donations will be sent directly to Frankie's Friends, a non-profit foundation dedicated to finding cures and saving pets withcancer & other life-threatening conditions.
Thanks for taking the time to read about our story.
