Cierra Powell’s medical expenses and healing journey

On the foggy morning of January 28, 2025 my niece Cierra Powell and her seven year old son Cruz were in a terrible car accident. Her car left the road and flipped down a 30 ft embankment, coming to rest in a deep creek bed. Cierra was unconscious and as the car began to fill with water, Cruz unbuckled himself and was able to wake his mama. He then heroically got them both to safety. Our God and his mighty angels were no doubt in that car and by their side that day. We are eternally grateful for him sparing their lives! Cruz has some cuts and bruises but is doing great! Cierra has suffered a fractured C1 in her neck and her T4,5,6 and 7 Vertebrae are compressed. She also suffered a concussion and some severe lacerations to her head, hands and face. She is dealing with infection in those cuts. She will be confined to a neck brace for 6-12 weeks. Her husband Luke has been by her side through all of this and they may both be out of work for a while. Unfortunately, they do not currently have health insurance and their car was only covered with liability insurance. So the expenses from this ordeal are overwhelming! In order to relieve some stress so that they can focus on her recovery, we are hoping to raise some funds to help with their medical expenses, household expenses and any other expenses that are result from this unexpected accident. We sincerely appreciate any gift you can give but most importantly we appreciate all the thoughts and prayers for them during this time.
