Thank you all for your donations! Cielo has received most of the funds by now and will be getting the remaining funds by end of week. He was able to pay for some of his past medical treatments and put a deposit down for some more medical procedures for the coming weeks. He’s very thankful and sends you all his best.

We will be shutting down this GoFundMe by May 14th. Please share so we can try and make his goal by then!

If you’re in the cheese world in NYC, you'll remember the iconic Cielo Peralta!

Cielo was, for a very long time, a staple in the Cheese Community, primarily at Murray’s Cheese. Anyone that shopped on Bleecker St knew they could count on his welcoming smile, his wide knowledge of cheese and his outstanding customer service.

Cielo helped everyone, from neighborhood regulars to luminaries auch as Sonya Sotomayor, Whoopi Goldberg, Martha Stewart, and the list goes on.

Cielo has been struggling to make ends meet in the Dominican Republic, which he calls home since leaving NYC several years back. It’s time to help him!

We’re hoping you can all lend a hand and help Cielo get back up on his feet, pay for his medical bills and establish a good home for himself again!
