Cielo Masters owner of Craftmasters

Hi, My name is Kathleen Knight, and I have been a neighbor and good friend to Cielo Masters since the early 1990s. Craftmasters of Nantucket was built by her late husband, David Masters, who died a tragic drowning death seven years ago, leaving behind his wife Cielo of 26 years and their son Philip. It has been a tough seven years for Cielo since David did everything. However, this strong young woman dared to learn and run the business the exact way David had left it.

It breaks my heart to tell our community that Cielo Masters was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. She is currently at Mass General Hospital going through brain surgery, radiation and chemo to shrink the fast growing tumor that has spread to her spinal cord. But unfortunatley, her surgery has left her blind! Today I learned she contracted Covid in the hospital and her treatments have been suspended for a week.

I am asking my friends, community, visitors and anyone with a heart to please help as her medical expenses are exorbant. And just when things are bad enough, the water heater in her store just broke and required $17,000. to replace it!

I hope to raise $100,000 to pay for her medical bills not covered by insurance, living expenses and to help cover the costs for keeping her store open as we head into the busy tourist season. But most of all, I ask everyone who reads this gofundme page to pray for her recovery. Cancer is not kind.
