CIEE Study Climate Action in Copenhagen, Denmark

Hi, my name is Sailor. I am a junior in High school. I have recently been accepted into CIEE Climate Action Program in Copenhagen, Denmark where I will learn about innovative ways to help tackle our environmental issues. For three weeks in June, I will be journaling and writing policy recommendations for the future. Copenhagen's efforts to help solve climate issues such as their waste to energy plant called Copenhill or the Greenkayak program where you can use a kayak for free as long as you collect trash along the canals are all so inspiring. I’m very passionate about traveling abroad to learn more about climate action and what we can do to improve our situation but also being able to gain more independence and self confidence while traveling, meeting new people, learning a new language all before I begin college a year from now.
