On June 26th, only 2 days after her and her 19 year old daughter's birthday, my mother Valerie’s house caught fire in the garage which spread rapidly to the whole house, destroying everything besides a few sentimental pieces. Only 20 minutes before the fire started, my whole family was right inside the kitchen, but had decided on the spot to leave to get our nails done as that was our only time to do so. Then my mom got the heart breaking call. She is a single mother of 2, the most selfless and hard working woman I know. Shes always had apartments; she’s worked her whole life to finally have her house, which she just remodeled all within the last few years, and now that’s all gone. Even the littlest bit can help, she and her husband lost everything they own. Thank you to everyone who has been here for us in every single way, it means the world that so many people are by our side.
