Ciaran’s Running Wheels
Donation protected
11 year old Ciaran is an amazing young boy from Longford. He has many hobbies and loves a good game of rugby, especially when it involves Leinster.
Unfortunately Ciaran suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Friedreich’s Ataxia, FA is a inherited disease that causes progressive nervous system damage and movement problems.
Ciaran has lost the ability to carry out normal day to day functions and is now wheelchair bound.
He likes nothing more than to go running with his mum Theresa in his home made buggy of which he has outgrown and urgently requires a proper disability designed buggy.
As the HSE are unwilling to fund this we are asking for your help, if you can just give the price of coffee, every bit gets us closer to the purchase price of € 4398 to securing this buggy and giving Ciaran the freedom to continue doing what he loves.
Additional funds raised will go towards adapting Ciaran’s living space in his home making it more wheelchair accessible.
Here’s hoping we can get a Christmas bow on this.
