Hi my name is Shauna-Ashley, and I have started this fundraiser on behalf of Ciarán and his family, to help with bills, everyday life and anything needed to make this process as comfortable as possible for him . Donations that are received will be transferred straight to Ciarán's father, Eoin Comerford.
Ciarán is a wonderful, happy, adventurous 12 year old boy who loves anything to do with cars, lego, gaming and adventure.
The past couple of months Ciarán has been complaining of headaches, he was sent home with viral infection as the answer on numerous occasions.. the last A and E trip led them to find a tumour on Ciaráns brain and underwent extensive brain surgery where doctors were able to successfully remove 90% of the tumour.
We later learned that the tumour is cancerous and fast growing, a medulloblastoma at stage 3.
Ciaran has gone through a lot over the past few weeks but he is now strong enough to receive the next form of treatment. Unfortunately, the treatment he needs is only available in Germany meaning our family has to travel there with him so he can receive the treatment. The Doctors don’t know how long the treatment will be but at the moment they have estimated 6 weeks.
Ciarán will then receive a 6 week break which will then allow him to recover and prepare for his chemotherapy.
In order to be there for Ciarán, we need to take time off work time and we would greatly appreciate if anyone could kindly donate, no matter how small, to help us support the family in Germany and keep afloat with other bills whilst we can be at his bedside while he receives treatment for this horrible disease.
