Ciara Hibl
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jessica Hibl, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story. My 14yr old daughter Ciara recently was diagnosed with toxic shock syndrome. The illness first seemed like the flu with a high fever. She developed a full body rash so I took her into Urgent Med, which then sent us straight to the ER. She was admitted to the hospital and after several tests, they determined it was toxic shock that she developed from a staph infection. She has fluid in her lungs and her blood pressure has been very low. The West Fargo Sanford team did a wonderful job for the first few days caring for her, but they decided that she would be better cared for at the U of M. She was life flighted on Friday, 1/5/24 at about 11pm. I drove down with my mother and sister. She was sent into surgery to have a tube placed in her heart to be able to remove blood to re-oxygenate it. She will be sedated for several days.
I am a single mother with no other support. I will not be able to work for the next however many weeks. Any money donated will be used for medical expenses and basic needs. Any amount you're willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you aren't able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well.
Thank you!
