Ciara Campbell’s Cancer Treatment & Recovery
Donation protected
Ciara is 28 years old, a mom, a student, and a pandemic hero who worked throughout as a Continuing Care Worker in Alberta (we miss her at home in Cape Breton!). Those who know her know that she would probably never ask for this help, so I am doing it for her (with her permission of course).
After numerous tests, including a biopsy, we have as an extended family received the news no one was hoping for; Ciara (our Peanut) has Cancer, and likely a long road of surgery, treatment and recovery ahead of her. There is still some testing to be done, so we don’t know the full treatment plan yet, but the first stages are set up with surgery, possibly chemotherapy, possibly immunotherapy. This could greatly affect Ciara’s ability to work, especially in health care.
All fall Ciara has been working while in school, and being a full time Mama to Owen. She stopped working in December to take some time to focus on Owen and school, but this news has derailed many plans, as our family’s focus shifts to doing whatever we can to help Ciara and Owen through this challenge.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, and would help to take away some of the financial stress so that Ciara can focus on what is needed for her to heal. This money will help replace Ciara’s income for the time being, and may be used to help with treatment costs like prescriptions, transportation, healthy groceries, and any medical supplies or supplemental treatments Ciara may need.
Any words of encouragement to help keep her spirits up would be most welcome.
