UPDATE We just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has donated and/or shared it means the world to us.
Having equipment to donate which will help other families who are facing the horrendous situation we found ourselves in is helpful and being able to put our precious baby boys name to it means the world.
I’m going to leave the page open for further donations as Rich is going to be playing in some charity rugby matches also in Cian’s name. If we raise enough we will donate 2 portable cold cribs to Queen’s Hospital as they currently don’t have any and if we don”t the excess funds will be donated to either the hospital, Tommys or petals who are providing counselling to me. I will let everyone know via my
fb when we hand over the crib/s and where any excess funds are donated to
Hi I’m Nicki at the start of June I was 20 weeks pregnant with our second ivf miracle, as a family we were happily waiting for the precious arrival this autumn to complete our family. Then I went in to premature labour and our tiny, perfect Son Cian was born sleeping leaving us all heartbroken.
I had a massive haemorrhage, had to go to theatre and have a blood transfusion, the staff at Queens Hospital Burton delivery suite were fabulous caring for me and the family with kindness and empathy. As I was so poorly I had to stay in hospital for 4 days and we were lucky enough to be able to spend that time with Cian in a cool crib meaning we could make memories together.
The hospital has 2 cool cribs but they aren’t portable, however there are portable ones available meaning that families have the option to take their babies home with them for a time if they wish to but they are expensive.
We would like to raise funds to purchase one to donate to the Snowdrop suite at Queens in Cian’s name complete with memorial plate bearing his name.
We are having a small funeral for immediate family with only family flowers so if people would like to donate to this fundraiser in Cian’s name we would be very grateful for your support.
