Hello, my name is Laniya, sister to Tyesha Hansborough and proud aunt to Chyler Paton. We are reaching out to our community during a deeply difficult time, asking for your support. Chyler Paton was a bright, kind, and promising young man whose future was tragically cut short. Last year, his life was taken at a pool party while celebrating a close friend’s college send-off. The loss has been devastating for our family, especially for his mother, as it would be for any parent facing such an unimaginable tragedy.

In honor of Chyler’s life and the light he brought into this world, we want to keep his name and legacy alive by creating educational scholarships for young scholars. Chyler was incredibly bright, and it is our hope that his spirit will continue to shine by helping others pursue their dreams.
