Help Ayla fight Leukemia #AylaStrong

On January 4, 2024 our sweet Ayla was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. A rare type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells. This news came as a complete shock and is devastating and heartbreaking for her entire family. They have spent 19 nights in the hospital so far, including Ayla’s 2nd birthday. She has had 2 surgeries already with multiple blood and Platelet transfusions. She got a port placed in her chest and had to start chemo treatments right away. Her chemo will continue once a week for the next 2.5 years and she will be on multiple medications. Ayla will have multiple bone marrow and spinal tap surgeries. It is going to be a very long road ahead for the Castro family.

This GoFund Me is being set up to help relieve some of the financial stress on her parents Jarin and Amy so that they can focus more on their family during this time. Funds will directly help with Ayla’s medications, chemo treatments, surgeries, hospital stays, traveling to medical care, and all other unexpected circumstances. The treatment clinic is 54 miles round trip for them.

Since hitting our goal, we have realized there are many more unforeseen circumstances and unexpected cost than anticipated. We have changed the goal amount to help relieve more financial stress long term for her family.
