This is my grandmother, Dee. She fell in December and broke her leg. She was able to come home in January. My mother decided to use the fall to her advantage, leave her in the rehab/nursing facility, move herself and her husband into my grandmothers house, take her monthly social security checks, not pay the rehab facility and run up all of her credit cards. My grandmother has lived her entire life for everyone else. She’s been at the facility this entire time during Covid and escaped Covid twice even though there was a breakout. I was able to visit her, for the first time yesterday, in 8 months, at a distance. I moved my family from Omaha to California to try and save her home and get her out of the rehab/nursing facility and back to her home where I can take care of her and give her the life she deserves that’s been taken from her. I’ve invested everything I’ve had into this in the last 4 months, including most of my savings. I can’t give up on her now. Anything would be appreciated to help cover the mounting expenses associated with the cost of the attorney, the rehab facility, upkeep on her house, and in-home care to help me with her when she does come home, etc. I’ve got to get her home and save her house. I owe her that! She raised me when I was young and took care of me and now it’s my turn to take care of her.
