Churro the Chi unexpected emergency care

Hi. I’m Mama Churro.

Churrita, our sweetest little fluffy chihuahua ever, has experienced some sore of neurological event. She may have lost what remained of her vision and is currently panicking. The emergency vet held her for about 20 hours and had her calmed down and stable enough they believed she could come home and be cared for with some medications.

We we’re going on the assumption that this was perhaps a stroke or an aneurysm and the worst had passed.

Unfortunately, she is now panicking again and this time medications aren’t soothing her. She is very disoriented and anxious and I’m afraid we’ll be returning to the emergency vet with her shortly to say our goodbyes.

I’ve loved chihuahuas my whole life and the past several years with my husband we’ve been rescuing senior and special needs dogs. We’ve always taken care of their expenses on our own, but this time things are adding up quickly.

With our return trip to the ER vet shortly, I’m waving the white flag and asking for help with the first bill. Anything helps.
