Vet Bills for Chups
Donation protected
Chups came into our lives and blessed our hearts with happiness and joy for a long enough period to make her family. We loved her and every morning we woke up excited to see how big she had grown overnight.
We spent every minute we could with her, got her vaccines, taught her how to sit. We did everything we could to be great dog parents.
Unfortunately things took a turn after our first trip with her. We took her to see our family up north and we were so excited for everyone to meet our new family member.
On the last day of that trip, she started coughing. We didn't think much of it other than to take her to the vet and get her antibiotics. But by the end of that night, things got much worse.
She had trouble breathing and was visibly struggling. We took her into an emergency veterinarian at 12am, and they turned her away.
The next morning we took her into her regular vet, and they rushed her to the hospital. She was tested and we found out that she was battling 4 different viruses at the same time. She has pneumonia, strep, influenza, and one other.
That first visit she spent 3 days and 2 nights. Things weren't bad yet, she was eating and had fluids, she was still excited to see us when it was time to pick her up.
Though when she came home and was removed from support, things got worse fast.
She stopped eating, wouldn't drink, and would hide from us. We knew things didn't look good for chups and we rushed her back to the hospital.
Again, she spent another 3 days and 3 nights on support as they nursed her back to a point where we could take her home.
But she wasn't out of the woods yet.
The worst news is that with these viruses there's not much we can do other than support her in feeding and drinking. We have her eating and drinking from a syringe at home and were doing everything we can to support her, but things aren't looking to good and theres not much more we can do.
Taking her back to the vet would only prolong the process of her decline (were hoping for a miracle things turn around for her soon).
This fund is for anyone who wants to help contribute to Chups Vet Bills. We appreciate anyone who wants to help. This is a tough time for our family and all the little support makes a huge impact.
This fund will be used in 3 ways: 1) Either to pay down Chups $6,000 bill, or 2) to check her into the vet for one last try and 3) Any donations over our goal or than we need will be donated to the La Jolla Veterinarian Hospital for their outstanding service to help us save our baby girl.
