Chuck's Legacy: Accessible Therapy for All
Donation protected
On 1/9/2016, on a cold, rainy Saturday night, I made a promise to my son-in-law, Charles Niemann III, after he completed suicide, that no one would ever have to feel worthless, hopeless, or like a failure. Chuck had been sober for 11 years before relapsing and was unable to get the help he so desperately needed. He made too much money for state insurance and not enough to afford private insurance. In 2018, I kept that promise and Chuck’s Place was opened which has been a safe haven for many people. In the last 6 years, a loving and supportive community was formed, which extended beyond just counseling services. When someone calls the first question asked was never, 'What’s your insurance?' It was, 'What can I do to help you?' Services were free to no more than $20.
Your generous donations would provide not just a scholarships to help those who are struggling and unable to afford it but also a sense of community/ belonging.
