My name is Dixie Hollis. I’m raising money to help Tracy Harden, the owner of Chucks Dairy Bar restaurant and hotel rebuild.

Tracy is a hard-working woman of color. Her restaurant and hotel were totally destroyed by the tornado. She and her staff took shelter in the walk-in cooler while the building was totally destroyed around them.

This is personal to me because when I would go hunting up there I stayed in her hotel and ate in her restaurant. I’ve only met her a few times and got to know Tracy.

I was impressed by how hard working she was and also has the best fried chicken and biscuits in Mississippi.

I have always been impressed by her because she ran a business that was vital to the community with no handouts just hard work.

She also had approximately 12 employees that she provided income for – in a town the size of Rolling Fork that’s a lot. Once the fundraiser is over I will present her with a certified check for the full amount of the funds raised so she can use to rebuild her business and help her employees.

My cousin Paul Hollis and his wife Laura also live in Rolling Fork.
