Hello everyone,

My name is Shawn and for those of you that have not met me I am Chuck’s son. In July my father was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. This news struck my sister and I deep in our hearts. After a couple months we thankfully were able to rule out the existence of cancer anywhere else. The cancer is confined to his prostate. This was some good news, which gave us some relief for a little bit, knowing he could have surgery to remove the entire organ. A couple weeks later my father was rushed to hospital after suffering from a mild heart attack. He received emergency surgery to have a stint put in his heart. After his recovery from this heart attack, he is finally in good shape to go through with the procedure shortly after Thanksgiving. My father is a small business owner with only a few employees. After covid business loss, inability to work during heart attack recovery and looking towards an 8week + recovery post operation, we as a family are asking for help to keep my father afloat financially during this recovery time. My father has worked hard his whole life and I will be there at his side to help with the recovery. The funds raised will go towards medical cost, housing, utilities, and business expenses. We are asking to give what you can to help us get through his recovery as he will be unable to run his business. Thank you all so much :-)

Here is a message from my father in his own words:

“Hey it’s Chuck. In July I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I’ve had MRIs and biopsies, which has led to the decision to have it removed because of the aggressiveness of the cancer. So planning was underway to decide who where and when to have it removed when on August 5 I had a heart attack. On the sixth I had a surgery to put in a stent. With weeks to recover my business has suffered. Now that I’m taking blood thinners surgery has been postponed

Hopefully to be rescheduled by the end of the year. Again, recovery will be anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks severely affecting my business again. To make matters worse my office manager, and close friend had a seizure at work and was hospitalized for several weeks creating more havoc in my business. The events for the last 90 days have been devastating financially with more coming at the end of the year. so I’m asking for help please. Thank you”
