Final Expenses for Chuck Nicholson

Chuck (Charles) Nicholson was a father of 6 kids and their spouses, and grandfather of 14.  He battled end-stage renal disease among other severe health problems, but was lost to our family quite unexpectedly after a hernia surgery that should have been 'no big deal' after everything else he had made it through.  He had been looking forward to a kidney transplant and renewed health.  His wife, Tana, worked and fought tirelessly for years to make sure he got the care that he needed.  Now, right before Christmas, we have been sideswiped by this tragedy.  Due to his health being a disqualifying factor, there was no life insurance or coverage in place for final expenses.  Love and offers of help have poured in from so many amazing friends and family and we are full of gratitude.  We realize all to well that the timing is poor, but any help is appreciated more than we can express. 

Chuck made it through the surgery successfully and stable.  He spent his final hours laughing and talking with his wife, looking forward to Christmas, and thinking about his family.  They celebrated what they thought would be a great recovery and upcoming holiday.  Close to midnight, they decided to finally get some rest, and he passed away peacefully in his sleep.
