Chuck Watson's Medical Transportation and Fees
Donation protected
On March 10, 2023, our dad Chuck Watson, a long-haul trucker was admitted to ICU while passing through Bend, Oregon on a delivery. Since then, he has been in the hospital in Bend, in ICU and on a vent and mostly paralyzed. He has since been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome which attacks the nerves of the body and causes loss of function including mobility and breathing. He is facing a very long recovery learning how to breath on his own and regaining movement in his body. Currently, a rehab facility near his home in Arizona has been identified, and now we need to arrange an intensive medical transport for him. Insurance is saying that they will not cover any of the transport fees, and he cannot continue to stay in the hospital since a rehab facility has become available.
The transport fees are being quoted as $28,000. Additionally, there will be existing and ongoing bills for his continuing care. Currently, he is alone for long stretches of time since each of his children must travel to see him. Our family appreciates any donation that you may make towards bringing him to a facility close to home. We especially covet your prayers for his healing and for those seeing to his care.
This Go Fund Me is created by Dana Brumley on behalf of Chuck's children: Melissa, Matt, and Chris.
