I've known Chuck Wasmuth for 49 years. We met when we both worked at Montgomery Wards. We've been dear friends ever since, in fact I introduced Chuck to his wife DeeDee.
Chuck was a husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and veteran. He loved his family and friends and was a proud veteran serving in the Navy submarine service during the Vietnam War.
Chuck enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest for years. He was a generous man and freely gave to his favorite charities including United Way, Wounded Veterans and SPCA. He helped when asked and gave his time enthusiastically.
His health started to decline a few years ago. With that decline came many medical bills and challenges. He met them head on as best he could. Then came the pandemic. Work hours became less, his ability to work became more and more difficult. As with so many others the bills began to pile up and he and Dee Dee had difficulty making ends meet.
Sadly Chuck's last day on Earth was December 20, 2020. He is truly in a better place now no longer in pain or anxiety. His passing has left Dee Dee with multiple bills as well as the cost of his memorial and burial.
Funds are needed to address these many expenses and time is of the essence. Please, if you can, donate what you can. Help a man who was generous in life and a man who was proud of his service and country.
