Chuck’s utilities

Hi. I’m Sonya, Chuck’s sister. As most of you may know I took Chuck to the emergency room on November 26, after picking him up for Thanksgiving and being absolutely devastated upon seeing him. He went from 220 pounds to 130 pounds. I immediately knew he was dying. Within an hour of his emergency room visit and multiple tests and scans he received a devastating diagnosis of stage four prostate cancer. His cancer is in his entire skeletal system along with his lymph nodes, but especially embedded within his spine, which is creating paralysis. I have been fighting a broken system for 2 1/2 months. It’s quite devastating that in America you can be in a malnutrition state starving and have stage four cancer and still get no food, benefits and support. His Social Security disability has been denied. We have filed in an appeal. I have personally been paying for all of his medical supplies, food, boost, household, necessities, property taxes, utilities, etc.
unfortunately, he does not qualify for any type of energy assistance because his ID expired on his birthdate, October 25 and he does not have a Social Security card… He cannot get a Social Security card because his ID is expired. It’s a broken system and we’re stuck in a loop. Chuck had a pretty serious surgery this morning in an effort to stop the testosterone which is spreading his cancer. We’re hoping to transition him to a physical therapy rehab facility for a couple weeks because Chuck is almost completely immobile. Several people have asked what they could do to help at this point, helping pay his utilities until we can get a decision with Social Security disability would be extremely helpful. We want to thank you for all of the well wishes and prayers. Thank you in advance.
The picture I posted was of him and our mother. Our mother was so happy this day. Chuck showed up at our dad’s surprise birthday party. She died in July 2018. They have a very special bond, unfortunately cancer has struck my family too many times.
