This Christmas, Chuck won’t be home with his eight children or ten grandchildren. Instead, he’s in rehab fighting to recover from multiple strokes.
In October, Chuck was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and dangerously high blood pressure. While his family believed he was on the path to recovery, everything changed at the end of November when Chuck suffered a series of sudden strokes.
These strokes have caused significant cognitive and physical disabilities. Since then, Chuck has spent the entire month of December in a rehabilitation facility, working every day to relearn how to walk, speak, and complete basic tasks most of us take for granted. Tragically, he will not be able to spend Christmas at home with his family.
Chuck is a devoted father of eight children and a proud grandfather of ten. Because of the extent of his impairments, he will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. His wife, HoneyLyn, works as a special education aide at a local elementary school, and together they are now facing overwhelming medical expenses from emergency care, hospitalization, and ongoing rehabilitation, while still supporting the four children who remain at home.
Chuck and HoneyLyn are the kind of people who give generously and never ask for help. This is incredibly difficult for them, but the need is real and urgent. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden so their family can focus on Chuck’s recovery.
Their family remains hopeful and faithful, praying for healing and strength during this difficult season. Thank you for reading, for sharing, and for any support you are able to give. And if you are unable to donate, we ask for prayers.
