Chuck Sims was the most self-less, caring, and loving son and brother. He gave up his life to move to Odessa to take care of his mom, Annette Sims, due to her stenosis disability.
In 2015, Annette was diagnosed with breast cancer and Chuck became her dedicated care team- driving her to and from every chemo appointment, making her meals, and taking care of her for 6 years.
Then Chuck was diagnosed with inoperable tongue cancer. He continued to take care of his mother, who was also battling two additional types of breast cancer, and his 92 year old father while going through 8 weeks of chemo AND radiation (rare and awful) treatment at 8 hour intervals.....with zero additional help.
This is the kind of man Chuck was. He was a giver. He was a fighter. He did anything and everything for his family and will be so dearly missed.
Chuck was 57 when he passed away on June 14th, 2021 from chemo and radiation complications. The Sims family is asking for donations on Chuck's behalf. The money will be going to his burial expenses and also to caring for his mother and father since he is gone.
We thank you for any and all donations. God bless.
