Chuck Johnson needs our help with surgery and recovery

Hey there, we are raising funds on behalf of our friend, Oakland-based composer and producer Chuck Johnson. In a year that has already seen the passing of his beloved dog Bubbles in February and the unexpected death of his mother in March, Chuck is facing yet another challenge in 2025: on May 7 he is having shoulder surgery to repair his rotator cuff.

The out of pocket cost for the procedure is substantial together with a lengthy recovery period and the cost of missed work, Lyfts to physical therapy, and assistance with meals in the coming weeks. As well, Chuck will likely not be able to perform the rest of the year- a substantial blow to his income and our community. Please join us in supporting him while he heals.
