Chuck is KICKING Cancer’s Ass

As many of you know Chuck had Stage 4 Colon Cancer and against all odds he beat it!!!
Last year he found out he was pre-leukemia which would progress to leukemia. This was caused by part of the treatment he was receiving when he had Colon Cancer.
What many people don’t know is that after the Colon cancer he had kidney cancer and had half his kidney removed.
For the past year he has been undergoing every 4 weeks 5 days of chemo and shots plus blood transfusions for his blood count. At the end of 2019 it was confirmed that he was accepted to have a stem cell transplant.
Two weeks before treatment was due to take place he found out that this has progressed to Leukemia. Which puts the stem cell transplant on hold as he under goes an experimental treatment (already FDA approved in the States). This means an extensive stay in the hospital 2 hours from their home. At least a month or more then he will start the stem cell transplant.
When he starts his Stem Cell Transplant it involves more lengthily hospital stays and living in Saskatoon and being in a sterile environment for months.
He was required to retire when he had his Colon cancer due to his age. Gerry has gone back to a part time job. Over the past few years he has travelled out of province, out of his community, to keep up his fight against cancer and keep his blood counts up.
Due to the systems in Canada only a fraction of the over $50,000.00 that he has spent is claimable. So he doesn’t even get to recoup his medical expenses.
Chuck just keeps going and never giving up or giving in all with a smile still on his face!!! Looking at the good in life. This is what makes him an exceptional man and will have him kicking this!!
He hasn’t wanted to ask for assistance so we his kids are asking!!
This man has given so much to so many people over the years!! And we know that others would love to assist him in any way they can.
So if you are drawn to donate any amount this will go a long way to assist them with all the expenses, travel, accommodations and care for his beloved dog Coco. It will also allow Gerry to travel back and forth with ease of mind.
