Many of you knew our dad, Chuck Elton, as a firefighter, paramedic, photographer at the fair and high school sports, or simply as someone who was always ready to help.
Chuck spent his life serving others — first in the United States Air Force as a Medical Service Specialist, and later through emergency services and countless acts of service in his community. One thing he cared deeply about was encouraging young people to pursue meaningful paths of service.
In his honor, our family is creating the Chuck Elton Service Scholarship to support students who plan to serve in the United States military or serve their communities through careers such as firefighting or other public service roles.
If you would like to honor Chuck’s legacy, we invite you to contribute to the scholarship fund in lieu of flowers. The funds raised will help future students follow the same path of service that meant so much to him.
