Let's help Chryssy to get back on her feet.

We are Ashley and Morgan, Chrystean Sandoval’s friends. Chryssy loves fashion, cats, jewelry, and her friends. She’s a 52 year old trans woman she’s genuine, hard working, loving, fashionable, strong, and a loyal friend.

Chryssy desperately needs our help right now. Recently, she has lost one of her best friends to a brain aneurysm, she’s lost one of her jobs, and now she’s losing her housing that she has lived in for the past 10 years. Her biological family is all deceased and she needs help right now from her community.

Recently, Chryssy was chased down by three men and she had to defend herself, and we believe that the trauma of that situation greatly affected her mental health.

The culmination of all these factors has led to a severe mental health crisis.

Chryssy is thankfully safe and receiving care at one of the Austin hospitals. While she is recovering, we want to start gathering funds to help her with her next steps towards securing new housing & helping her with her move.

As we’ve seen The trans legislation bills rolling out and being passed- the trans community is at a high risk of violence, loss of work, limited housing resources, and general fear of living and existing in this culture.

It’s up to us as community members to let our people know that they belong, they are valued, they are deeply loved, and that we want them to achieve success in safe and secure environments.

Chryssy needs to be out of her home by the end of this month.

She will need rent and deposit for a new living space, utilities and food for her first couple months while she finds suitable work and gets on her feet again.
