At Chestnuts primary school we pride ourselves on striving to ensure that all children meet their full learning potential- regardless of their social status and background. 
While we are able to make fantastic provision for our disadvantaged children in school- music workshops (Rock Steady), music lessons, discounts for residential trips and interventions and extra sessions after school, we feel that our children could still benefit from additional support- particularly at home. 


Today, many children have regular access to technology- Ipads, laptops and phones with internet access- and are able to consolidate their learning as a result. 
These children have an advantage over the children in our school who do not have sufficient access to learning resources online. 
At Chestnuts, this is something we feel needs to change. We would like every disadvantaged child to have the same chances and access to home learning as their peers. 
This is why we are raising funds to buy chrome books. With your help, we can supply our most disadvantaged children with a chromebook that will allow them to access learning resources and improve their chances to succeed.
