Chrome books for 8th grade math and science
Donation protected
I created this campaign to buy new chrome books for my 8th-grade students. I teach math and science in Lake County, CA, the poorest county in the state. In our ever increasingly technological society, it is all the more vital that we educate our students to use the tools that drive our economy. This need is especially true when considering math and science. These subjects rely most heavily on the use of technology, and proficiency in these subjects leads to higher paying jobs and better chances at success.
Students in my classes are eager to learn but are born into an area with scarce resources and few good jobs. As the teacher of these fantastic young people, I feel the need to support their upward mobility by educating them with the best tools possible so that they are familiar with both how to utilize these tools and what amazing potential they can provide to push the application of math and science.
40 chrome books at $375 each = $15,000
35 licences at $50 each = $1,750
chrome book cart $1500
35 headphones $30 = $1050
