Concepts

In this post-pandemic era, we are all tired of confinements and epidemic prevention regulations. Our aesthetic seems to be also confined to minimalist visuals. We are craving visual impacts to spice up our lives!

Chroma Extravaganza showcases multi-disciplinary works by Latin American Artists who are based in Europe. Through this exhibition-event, the team wants to revive the instinctive luxury idea of "Extravaganza" by colors a.k.a."Chroma”.

As in the international curatorial team, audiences also have different cultural experiences, and may have different intellectual interpretations of colors and extravagance. But these two aspects also impact and please us intuitively. By reconnecting the collective experiences and energy of life by eye-catching and enjoyable visual vocabularies, this graduation project created by MBA Art & Luxury management students of IESA reminds the audience about the pure pleasure of opulence and to enjoy the cherry on the cake!

By combining color and extravaganza, the team aims to mix cultures and media to generate new interpretations, as in mixing colors to create new colors, complementary color pairs, and analogous color combinations. Also by combining extravagant elements to manifest the artist’s eagerness to be seen.

Color Extravaganza would like to create an immersive experience through different forms and media or arts. It focuses on artists from kaleidoscopic Latin America, all based in Europe, to highlight the tastes and preferences under the influences, the heritages and the adaptation of artists between the cultures of Europe and Latin America.

This exhibition project aims to provoke the instinctive reaction to different mix-and-match of multi-disciplinary works. The team looks for a spectrum of direct and emotional responses, which echo the nature of the artist, to illustrate how the color and extravaganza takes shape through different mediums and formats.

Artists Extravaganza

Sergio Corvacho

Peruvian, based in France

Born in Perú and raised throughout the world, Sergio is now an established and acclaimed artist. He works as a freelance photographer who collaborates with L'Officiel Paris, shooting the intimacy of stylish families, opening the doors of their houses to show the luxury, art, fashion and interior design that surrounds their lives. Sergio wants to show reality in his photos by organic and natural style.

María Barrio

Chilean, based in France/Spain

Born in 1988 in Valparaíso, Chile, the French-Chilean painter immersed in a reflection on genre, particularly in relation to portraiture and biographical portrait and biographical narrative, the artist seeks to highlight the representation of the body, mainly her own, in connection with her affective landscapes and memories. Barrio reconstructs an intimate world based on memories and archives of her personal memories.

Guido Vera

Chilean, based in Chile/Europe

The experienced fashion designer/social network content creator’s eponymous project: Guido Vera, is a unisex clothing and accessories brand, inspired by his original towns and the Patagonian landscapes. By applying cotton, hi-tech, vegan and biodegradable fabrics, Guido was named by Forbes in 2020 as a talent that changes the sustainable fashion industry by highlighting the textile and rescuing traditions and culture of Patagonia.

Isabella Derlon

Venezuelan, based in France

Completed her master’s at the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, Isabella is an accessories designer currently interning in Louis Vuitton. The products that she conceives are meant to form a bond between the work and the individual. She believes that through developing a deeper connection between the customer and the product, one is less likely to consume as frequently, and hence creating a more sustainable purchasing habit.

IESA

Founded in 1985 by Françoise and Jean-Marie Schmitt, the Institut d’Études Supérieures des Arts (IESA) is a private educational group based in Paris, France. It has been officially recognized by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication since 1998.

IESA Arts & Culture is the school of creative knowledge and dissemination as part of an international economy. Its education method combines the critical study of works of art and artistic productions with the acquisition of the necessary professional skills for their production, brokerage, communication and trade.

Eos is a non-profit organization specializing in the organization of visual and performing arts events founded in Paris, France in 2017. We provide an international array of independent curators and producers with administrative support, expertise in project management, and artistic direction in order to create new and noteworthy programs.

Our primary goal is to present excellent quality events in accordance with the best practices in our industry.
