Disabled Youth - Hit & Run

Hey Everyone, 

In the morning of August 1st, 2014 a young man was struck by a hit and run driver, destroying his newly purchased eBike.  The driver fled the scene, and this individual did not even bother to check to ensure this youth was unhurt.

As this youth has a disability, he will not be able to obtain a licence.  He saved money over a period of months to be able to afford his new ebike.  He only was able to enjoy this for roughtly a week.

A statement from his father:

"My 16 year old son is special needs. Because he’s not able to get a license, imagine his joy when he bought himself an ebike only a week ago. I have never seen such a huge smile on his face. We drilled the safety laws into his head, and supervised him before allowing him on roadways and around vehicles until we were sure he could handle it. He’s been doing amazing, and the ebike has proven invaluable getting him to and from work each day."

I have offered to assist this family to hopefully have the community come together to help this young man get a replacement eBike.
