Help Us Grow Our Family: Support Christy and Ryan’s IUI Journey

Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

Ryan and I are reaching out with open hearts and hopeful spirits as we begin a deeply personal journey toward growing our family. After several years of dreaming about having a baby together, we are encountering fertility challenges — ones that likely stem from a battle Ryan fought long ago.

As a child, Ryan overcame Burkitt’s Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Thanks to chemotherapy and a wonderful team of caregivers at CAMC Women’s and Children’s, he survived — a miracle we’re endlessly grateful for. But as we’ve recently learned, the very treatment that saved his life may have impacted his fertility. After consultations with specialists, we’ve been advised that Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) is a treatment that would significantly increase our chances to conceive.

IUI is a less invasive and more affordable fertility treatment compared to IVF, but it still comes with significant costs — further consultations, medications, monitoring, and the procedure itself. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover these expenses, and the emotional toll of facing infertility would be compounded by financial strain.

We’re asking for your support to help us cover the costs of IUI and give us the chance to welcome a child into our lives. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to holding our baby in our arms. If you’re unable to give, sharing our story would mean the world to us.
