Christ's Hope International UK
Walk for Hope
For many years we have been supporting the work of Christ’s Hope International (CHI) UK. The charity cares for vulnerable and disadvantaged children living in ‘shanty towns’ in sub-Saharan Africa, including Namibia and Uganda. We are taking part in a sponsored walk to raise money for children living in extreme poverty in Africa.
The charity helps children aged 3-19 to live successfully within a family in the local community, looking after their health, nutrition, and access to education. The work takes place within Care Points, centres where children receive a meal, mentoring, and educational support from trained local workers for about 12 hours per week.
CHI needs additional funding to sustain and grow its work.
The sponsored walk follows a long-distance footpath along the Hope Valley in Derbyshire. We will be part of a small group walking from Edale to Eyam, a journey of 30 miles. The walk takes place from 21st to 23rd April 2023. Please consider supporting the work of the charity by sponsoring us to take part in the walk.
Thank you for your help.
