In the early morning of June 28th, Henrik and Patty were woken up by heavy smoke fumes in their Kankakee home. While we are exceedingly thankful they were able to get out with only minor injuries, the house they purchased in 2019 is damaged quite extensively. After watching them work tirelessly to fix and renovate their first home, I know this is devastating on many levels.

We do not know yet how long they will be displaced as they rebuild, but anticipate it being a very lengthy process. Henrik and Patty will also need to replace almost all the items in their home.
