Christopher's PCL leukaemia battle.
Donation protected
Hi my name is Chelsea lewis.
On Wednesday the 12th of October we almost lost my dad Christopher Lewis. 7 weeks ago my dad was healthy and still working for Q build and now he is in the Royal brisbane Hospital fighting for his life.
After multiple GPS visits, 3 emergency visits pleading for help for the pain and sickness my dad has been feeling.
He had a seizure on the 12th of august at 530pm and stopped breathing for over 2 mins. We were so lucky he then came back. Rushed to the Base rockhampton he had internal bleeding from his spleen to which they then discovered that dad (Christopher Lewis) actually has leukaemia. They were able to get him stable before taking him to theatre to remove the spleen which they then realised his kidneys have already failed and now he is on dialysis aswell.
Dad is fighting for his life and I don't want my mum stressing about bills or anything at the moment.
Dad has to recover from major surgery, be on dialysis and start chemotherapy. We are unsure how long dad will be in Brisbane for and I'd really love to have mum stay by his side and not have to come back home and work to survive and keep her home.
Any amount helps! And any amount not needed will be donated straight to the leukaemia foundation.
I do however want to thank the ICU Drs, nurses and surgeons! and all those who cared for my father on this night. I could not fault the care he received. But it's unfortunate he had to be in this bad of condition.
