Christopher's Heroic Fight With Cancer

Hello friends and family.

I have started this go fund me on behalf of my little Cousin Christopher, the love and light of our Lives. For those of you who know of Christopher’s previous battle with Childhood cancer, you know that at the tender age of just two years old his fight began. We never imagined that we would be here again but here we are.

During his last check up at St. Jude we received news that no family wants to receive, his cancer is back but in a different form. In his first bout with cancer, Chris was diagnosed with an Ependymoma (a malignant tumor on the brain stem.) He had surgery to remove the tumor followed by radiation treatment. In rare instances that same radiation treatment can cause the cancer he has now, thyroid cancer. Until this last visit with St. Jude, he was cancer free for a little over ten years. Luckily the cancer has been caught early, is slow growing, and has great success rates. However, he will have to undergo another surgery to remove his thyroid gland. We’re hopeful and have great faith that he will once again go into remission. He is very aware of the situation that lies ahead and in true Christopher fashion, is ready to take this difficult challenge head on. We are incredibly blessed in that Christopher is in the best hands with all of the wonderful Medical professionals of St. Jude. All of his medical expenses will be taken care of through St. Jude. That being said, there are a lot of other expenses, that aren’t covered, living expenses, unpaid time off that his mother will have to take, ect.

I’m hoping to raise this money to ease some of the financial burden that his mom will experience thus allowing them to focus solely on his recuperation. At this time we’d also like to ask for your prayers for a quick and painless recovery.
