I’m running a trail race in September, for The CRISSCROSS Foundation.
The course: A 25 mile point to point race on the Kilkenny Ridge Trail from Starr King Rd in Jefferson NH to South Pond Rec Area in Stark NH. I will traverse a high mountain ridge summiting 2 4000ft peaks and a half dozen 3000 footers as well. The Kilkenny is rugged and boasts 7000+ ft of vertical ascent. The course is also extremely beautiful! I will travel across miles of wild and woolly boreal forest that is unique to the higher elevations of NH. There are countless mountain views, ponds and streams to take in as well. This is truly a "backcountry" race.
Please help me blend a peak experience with helping young men find direction in their lives. CRISSCROSS creates a significant impact by providing funding to longterm recovery efforts. If there's a reason to make a meaningful contribution, I encourage you to consider this one!
The CHRISCROSS Foundation partners with wilderness therapy, transitional living programs and similarly missioned charities dealing with suicide prevention. CHRISCROSS provides match funding, with a reduction in tuition, to families who are in need. Together we can partner to further their efforts and help a demographic that's close to my heart.
I am racing for my friends Craig Koufos, Nick VanAlstine, Tristan Miller and in honor of my Grandfather, Thomas Madden.
