Christopher's Fight for Healing

Donation protected
Christopher McAllister was diagnosed with Crohns disease at the age of 12.  He battled with his disease with traditional medicine practices including (but not limited to) extensive antibiotic treatments, steriods in attempt to conquer inflammation, and went through a phase of every Crohn's medication there currently is on the market for his disease. Nothing in "traditional" medicine claimed to be able to heal Crohns, but rather they can contain his symptoms until new symptoms arise or surgery becomes necessary. At the age of 19 he came to find out he now had a narrowing in his intestines due to scar tissue from inflammation and damage by harsh prescription drugs, antibiotics, and very poor dietary understanding. Seventy percent of Crohns patients end up having to get surgery to remove heavily affected portions of the intestines, and once you've had one surgery the garauntee of on going surgeries in the future is pretty inevitable. At the age of 20, Christopher came to learn about the options a holistic lifestyle and route to his disease had to offer, and when he turned 21 his CHKD care plan was no longer applicable and he lost connection with his Pediatric Gastroenterologist, and started to more heavily pursue the Holistic, Naturapathic route. At this time, Christopher was going through some life changes as well, he no longer had a place to stay, and had to move to multiple different areas, and move through many jobs as a result, as he desperately tried to catch back up with a life that had knocked him down early on.
Christopher quickly gained a passion for his health and wellness. He read, and researched day in and day out until he came to have a fairly extensive knowledge of his disease and some of the best ways to care for it, but he was also still on his own and couldn't afford insurance, or to see a real Naturopath to help guide him along the way. In May 2015, Chris entered into a flare up stage that caused him major pain, and weight loss. The 5'9 21 year old quickly went from 145 lbs, to about 120lbs within weeks. He applied for an assitance program and was able to get a couple months worth of medication, but then was not able to properly ween himself off when his prescription ran out. Fast forward to June 2016, Chris started noticing these red swollen bumps arising on his legs and extensive swelling in his ankles and lower portions of his legs. Later diagnosed as a Crohns correalated skin disease, Erythema Nodosum, these extremely painful (almost like shingles) nodules and swollen legs grew and intensified until he no longer was able to do his duties that his job at Whole Foods entailed. He progressively began losing weight again, and fast. In October, he went on leave through Whole Foods progams and short term disability in hopes to do some resting and healing. We traveled up to Anendale Virginia to see a Naturopathic MD with the gracious financial help of my brother-in-law/his chiropractor Dr. Rich Reinhold and my sister Sharyn Reinhold. We started some new treatment, and some prescription steriods with the help of his Aunt and Uncle but at this point Christopher's body was already in a very fragile state. His legs were very swollen and in so much constant pain as they developed these nodules, and he weighed about 117 llbs. This December 3rd, he came home around 8:30pm after attending his cousin's wedding reception (his first real outing in awhile) and headed to the bathroom only to end up with a toilet full of blood,  minutes later he rushed to the bathroom again and it was obvious he was bleeding pretty profusely from somewhere/something so we quickly rushed to the ER where they have admitted him into ICU because of his unstable state. Christopher spends about 300 dollars a month on supplements, and was denied obamacare, medicaid, and assistance through the medication companies and is now facing uninsured ER and hospital bills from our stay here. CT Scan, multiple blood transfusions, bloodwork, accomadations, colonoscopy, steriods and other future prescriptions are about to have him spiraling into further medical debt (along with debt from his earlier Hospital years still lingering) and he neeeeds help. We've both been trying everything possible to stay financially afloat, but now, its undeniable that his future is bleak financially. If you feel compelled to do so, please donate to help him pay off the bills he is acquiring by the minute and help him afford the supplements and medications needed to head towards recovery, healing, and hopefully remission in his long term future. Thank you so much for all the love, prayer, positive energy, and eagerness to help.
