We are creating a Go Fund Me in hopes of a hand up to a our brother and friend to so many who is needing some help. I once read that sometimes when things seem to be falling apart- they are actually falling into place. That sure is hard to see when you’re barely treading water, taking one step forward and two steps back and the snowball headed down the hill keeps getting bigger. A multitude of life challenges have happened within a short period of time. Chris has had two major eye surgeries after losing his sight, expensive treatments for recovery and fallen behind so much that he is facing potential of losing his home due to excessive medical bills. He is in need of a knee replacement and unable to manage the physical demand of packing and moving and facing even more medical expenses. On top of this, unable to renew drivers license until his eye sight improves. So side hustles like Uber and Instacart aren’t even possible. Chris has suffered job loss due to his eye injuries. He is not ready to throw in the towel or accept not working hard and climbing out of this situation. As with most who have to get to the very humbling point of asking for help - that’s where we are. Chris needs help to stay afloat, keep his home, along with finding work while continuing to heal and manage what we hope are temporary setbacks. He wants to get back to a place of giving in the charities he has been part of for years with his fellow friends and chefs. Chris will be using the funds to keep a roof over his head and have some help with physical labor and probably a real boost with a restored faith that he has people who care.
