Hello my name is Kelly Larrieu. I am setting this page up for my son Christopher.
Christopher was born on April 12, 2002. At 26 weeks. With a double bleeding brain, collapsed lungs and weak heart, Chris defied the doctors. At the age of 2 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Medulloblastoma. After his surgery Chris went through extensive chemotherapy and radiation. At the age of 10, Chris was diagnosed with Gorlin syndrome. A rare genetic disorder, known for missing the hedgehog gene, or tumor supressor gene. This genetic disorder can attack any system in the body at any time with cancer or other illnesses and deformities. Through out Chris life he’s had multiple surgeries and multiple conditions. One of which was seizures. He fought a very long and hard road. On Sept 1, 2023, Christopher had a seizure sometime during the night in his sleep.
He was an amazing young man. The life of the party with a heart of genuine gold. Christopher had the opportunity to do and be many great things in this world. One of which being made an honorary Marine. Christopher took being a Marine serious. He understood that he was fighting a battle that only through the strength of Christ Jesus would he make it. He was able to get a job at McDonald’s, play basketball in the special Olympics, and run track. Christopher loved to dance and rap and have fun with his friends on his game. He loved to draw and watch movies with his family.
As a disabled veteran and single mom i could not work because i have had to be with Chris at all times of his journey. So i am leaning on family for help. I apologize if this seems thrown together at the last minute. A lot of arrangements im making alone and fortunately this is my first time going through this. Our goal is $6000. Any donations will help in reaching the goal. And know from my heart I am more than grateful to you all. Gods love is amazing and we are staying blessed through this time with Jesus Christ as our healer in this time of pain. Thanks again. Lots of love and hugs. Praying for strength
